The Archiver section enables self-managed archiving of live streams for a specified or indefinite period of time. The configuration on this page allows you to
delete Archiver Playout Profiles and assign them to Archiver Captures that exist on the system.
The page is split into two sides:
Add/Edit Archiver Playout Profiles¶
This section is displayed on the left side of the page.
By default, this is used to
add new Archiver Playout Profiles. If you click on an existing Archiver Playout Profile in the Current Archiver Playout Profiles section, this will update to
edit that Archiver Playout Profile. If you are editing an existing Archiver Playout Profile, there will be an orange “Cancel Editing” button displayed next to the save button.
Adding a Playout Profile will require an ID to be set as a minimum prerequisite before it can be saved onto the system. The user can then specify expiry time and also use the CENC, AES and FairPlay buttons to add DRM keys to specify that profile’s Streaming Formats, they can also manually enter their own keys and URLs. The bottom of the Add Profile section allows users to assign the profile to an existing Archiver Capture on the system using the tick box provided, they may also set a Live Redirect URL as a fallback if the playback content is not yet available.
If no Archiver Capture exists on the system please refer to the Archiver Capture Section of this documentation.
Current Archiver Playout Profiles¶
This section is displayed on the right side of the page.
In this section you will see a list of all the current Archiver Playout Profiles on the system. From this list you can see:
- Expires in (days)
- Streaming Formats
In the Actions column, you will see a red X button to delete the Archiver Playout Profile.
