Playlists¶
The Playlists page is where you can view, create, edit, and delete Playlists.
Playlists can be assigned to any existing events within Control Hub under the events edit page.
Playlists are used as a collection of events on Control Hub, for example if the user would like to group all football related content together they would create a football playlist and add each relevant event to it.
This section is split into 4 subsections:
Add/Edit Playlists¶
This section is displayed on the left side of the page.
By default, this is used to add new Playlists. If you click on an existing Playlist in the Current Playlists section, this will update to edit that Playlist. If you are editing an existing Playlist, there will be an orange “Cancel Editing” button displayed next to the save button.
Current Playlists¶
This section is displayed on the right side of the page.
In this section you will see a list of all the current Playlists on the system. From this list you can see:
- Name
- Actions
In the Actions column, you will see two buttons: A Red X button to delete the Playlist, and an orange Hamburger button to view Playlist Items for that Playlist.
Current Playlist Items¶
This section is accessed by clicking on the orange Playlist Items button on the Playlists page.
In this section you will see a list of all the current events on the system that are assigned to this Playlist. From this list you can see 4 columns:
- Event Name
- State
- Start Time
- Actions
Clicking on an event name on this page will take you to that events edit page. If you wish to read more on editing events please refer to the Events Section of this documentation.
The State column will display the current state of the relevant event within Control Hub e.g VOD_PUBLIC
The start time column will default to when the relevant event was assigned that Playlist.
In the Actions column, you will see two buttons: A Red X button to remove the Playlist from the relevant event, and a grey Edit Start Time button to manually change the Start Time from its default.
Edit Playlist Items¶
This section is accessed by clicking on the grey Edit Start Time button on the Current Playlist Items page for an event.
On this page there are fields to alter the Start Date and Start Time of the specified Playlist Item followed by a Save button below to save the changes.
